Reduced rate credit for vacant space or units on both commercial and multi- family properties. This credit is equal to the contributing percentage of square footage or unit. For example a 10 unit apartment with 1 vacant unit would receive a 10 percent monthly discount until the unit is filled. Likewise a 100,000 sq ft commercial building with 10,000 sq ft vacant would receive a 10 percent monthly credit until filled. The maximum monthly credit is 50 percent and requires 30 days written notice before taking effect. The monthly rate re-adjusts to the contracted amount the same month a unit is filled. Service is not reduced during this credit program.
